Healthy Eating. New You Plan!
Here is my diet that I have been following over the last 5 years that can help you achieve weight loss!
Along with regular exercise, you can become the size you have always wished to be!
Of course, like any diet, it is always tough, to begin with, but once you get used to it, I promise that you will find it easy and be able to keep it up on a daily basis and will not feel like you are on a diet.
Yes, I do have food on my diet that you probably have been avoiding as you think you can't possibly lose weight whilst eating. But at 8 stone 4 lbs, height 5.5 and after having 3 children I am living proof that it works, I am the slimmest I have ever been!
Here is my plan!
Fresh fish, not farmed but caught in the ocean (if you don't like fish I'm very sorry but this diet is probably not for you) tinned tuna is fine but check online as to what tinned tuna to buy, the most popular brands are not as high in omega 3 oils and also contain higher levels of mercury. I shop at Lidl for my tuna and although it is better for you in the water I prefer it in sunflower oil. I get frozen wild Salmon as it is not farmed and is cheaper this way, but fresh is nicer if you can get it, but remember it has to state that it is wild. Most fresh tuna steaks are not farmed at this time but be sure to check. Any other fish you like is fine but remember to stick to non-farmed. Try and have a portion of fish each day.
Have only one piece of fruit a day and make sure you eat it before 2pm as fruit turns to sugar and your body will burn it up with your active day.
Avoid dairy products, this was the hardest thing for me to do especially cheese. Dairy products contain a chemical found in known addictive drugs that have an opioid effect resulting in addiction. It gets so much easier after a few months and after 3 months I no longer craved it! We do have a dominoes pizza once a week as a treat now and have been since my birthday in December, I can limit it to once a week and have not gained any weight, but make sure you are able to stick to once a week and no more.
Here are the best products after trying many that we use to replace dairy:-
The Vitalite dairy free spread can be used as a spread on bread etc and for replacing butter or margarine in cooking.
Violife is a dairy free cheese, I prefer the original flavour.
Koko is a dairy free alternative to milk, make sure to buy the fresh one from the fridge area and not the long life one as the long life one tastes awful. Use it for anything that you would usually have with milk it works for cooking too and does not taste of coconut but very milky. Koko is extremely good for you, I swear by it!
I drink decaf green tea 3-4 times a day and Tetley is my favourite and use the Koko milk in it as you would with normal tea. Leave your tea bag in longer than you would normal tea to make it stronger. You really need to have this at least 3 times a day for your diet to work. I have decaf as I'm a coffee lover and have two cups of espresso a day and do not sleep if I have too much caffeine a day.
All of these products are available to buy from Tesco, Asda and Morrisons in the UK.
There are lots of dairy free ice creams available too, I prefer Swedish Glace which comes in vanilla, chocolate and raspberry, but the vanilla is the only one that Asda, Morrisons and Tesco have in stock.
Try and limit this to no more than twice a week as it contains soy which is no longer very good for you.
Avoid white sugar and instead use raw cane sugar or agave nectar to sweeten cereals,in tea and coffee or for cooking.
Use extra Virgin Olive oil to fry and for your roast potatoes.
Try to eat one egg every day or every other day, this is great protein and flattens your stomach, I have fried egg sandwich most mornings.
I have the best of both bread or 50/50 and have been for 5 years, I have no more than 4 slices a day and only have 1 slice on pizza day. I have white part baked baguettes once a week.
I have pasta twice a week, I mix half white and half wholemeal.
Eat plenty of salad and veg any potatoes are fine and I have chip shop chips once a week but usually have fish in breadcrumbs instead of batter.
Anything you eat to make sure it does not contain milk and dairy, I have a packet of crisps everyday kettle crisps and the hand cooked ones are better for you than the others but I do have others as long as they don't contain dairy you are fine.
Don't eat any meat, only fish!
Dark chocolate, (containing no milk) or dairy free chocolate is ok to eat but no more than 4 chunks or a small packet a day. I am allergic to chocolate since having my third child so I never have it. If I have a sweet tooth I usually have sweet popcorn or some biscuits that don't contain milk.
Limit alcohol! I will admit that I sometimes have a bit more vodka than I should on a night out. I can't drink much wine as I suffer the next day with a headache. I do drink about 3 bottles of Budweiser or Desperados most weeks. But of course, I would encourage this!
Here is a list of some meals and products I eat to give you ideas if you would like the recipes I will happily give them to you just ask in comments.

I could go on but just remember to avoid dairy. but can have eggs, fish, no meat, raw cane sugar but a few biscuits and tomato sauce etc are fine daily if you limit them.
I love my diet and I'm sure you will too. You can enjoy food whilst keep slim! Give it time and you will loose weight and as time goes on your cravings will go and you will have complete control and you will find those treats you were desperate for at the start you will need less and less.
Remember to always check with your doctor before starting a diet as everybody is different and have different needs!
Please feel free to let me know how you get on and if there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask, I am only too happy to help.
